CSWH Chapter 128: Son’s Farewell

Since then, 2 days have passed.

Father gathered the entire Guard Corps on the training grounds.

“Attention!”

Upon Father’s arrival, the commander of the Guard Corps, Gariya, shouted.

In that instant, all of the members straightened up.

Standing in front of them, Father watched their movements.

“All of you are the Anderson Marquis House’s fangs. The Anderson Marquis House’s pride. As such, your mission is not to simply protect my life. Follow me, and exterminate those who would cause harm to the Anderson Marquis House.”

The air crackled with tension.

He had by no means raised his voice.

Despite that, even those lined up in the back of the group could clearly hear his words, giving off the illusion that he was talking right in front of them.

Gulp, the sound of someone swallowing their saliva resounded awfully loudly.

“The enemy is Wiel. The man who was [once my brother].”

For a moment, Father cast his eyes downwards.

Sensing Father’s hesitation from that action, a wave of unrest went through the members of the Guard Corps that were standing across from him.

“However……”

But, when he raised his head while murmuring that…….Father’s face did not have a trace of hesitation.

Fighting spirit and the light of resolve dwelled within his eyes, and an intimidating air that dominated the area enveloped his frame.

“Do not waver! Do not hesitate. I will not waver. I will not hesitate. From henceforth, I will crush all the enemies that block my path! Let us carve fear into the bodies of those who would harm the Anderson Marquis House! Fangs of the Anderson Marquis House, follow me. Let us annihilate all of our enemies together!”

His encouragement blew away all of the Guard Corps’ apprehensions and then some.

Everyone was swallowed up by Father’s encouraging presence, and their spirits were lit aflame by Father’s words.

“Let us go!”

The Guard Corps responded by raising their blades.

And then, Father advanced…….to fight against his own little brother.

To the battle that would determine his end.
